This is a resources page for you to download useful templates and scripts to help use Power BI Sentinel, as well as run diagnostics to test connectivity prior to setting up Power BI Sentinel.

The following downloads are Powershell scripts for advanced users only.
These can help you diagnose problems with your Power BI account or your Azure services that Sentinel uses.
NOTE: Neither Power BI Sentinel nor Purple Frog Systems are able to provide Powershell support, and do not accept any liability for their use. These scripts are provided for your information only and you are responsible for their use.
Setup Test 1 - Power BI
This Powershell script will check your Power BI Tenant to list which workspaces you can see, and what Sentinel functionality you will get for each workspace.
When you run this, it will ask you to log in with your Power BI credentials. You should use the account that you plan to manage Sentinel with.

Setup Test 2 - Database
This Powershell script will validate the database connection string, as well as testing that the connection has sufficient write and execute privilages against the database.
This is the Azure SQL Database that will store your usage and audit logs.
Before running this, you will need to enter your ADO.NET connection string on line 12.
Note that this will not test the firewall configuration.

Setup Test 3 - Storage
This Powershell script will test the validity of your Azure Storage account connection string.
This is the Azure Storage account that will store your backups.
Before running this you will need to enter your storage account connection string.
Note that this will not test your firewall configuration.

Admin - Grant Access to All Workspaces
This Powershell script will grant permissions for the specified user to access all workspaces.
This needs to be run by a Power BI Administrator.
Note that this only works for 'new' style workspaces, not the old 'classic' workspaces.
